Phase 2 of the redevelopment focused on the Harvey's farmyard and stable blocks, turning these derelict buildings into craft and artisans workshops.
The Trust worked in partnership with Penwith District Council, SWERDA, The Guinness Trust, The Prince's Regeneration Trust and the Heritage Lottery Fund using a grant from Hayle Townscape Heritage Initiative creating 16 high quality art and craft workshop studios.
The West Stables provides for 13 units, while the East Stables have been converted into 3 affordable live-work units the first of their kind in Penwith.
The farm has been sympathetically renovated and wherever possible local materials and traditional building techniques have been used such as cob walling, lime rendering, slating, lead work and traditional carpentry. The construction work has been undertaken by a local company with 32 full time construction jobs being created. 11 full time apprentices have also worked on the project and it has proved to be a valuable training resource.
All units where filled within the first 5 months of completion allowing 16 business to expand and already creating new jobs.
Foundry Farm recently won a Civic Trust Commendation for sustainable development and has also won a Green Apple Environmental Award.

onehundredpoundprints.com is a website showcasing screen prints by artist Paul Bawden. The prints themselves are hand printed, using stencils that are either cut or painted by hand. The prints can have dozens of different layers and can take over a month to complete.
The idea for the print is created within the process of crafting a print, therefore the original print is what you receive, and there is no master copy.
